When Dan Amicone, partner at Architecttura, Inc., was looking to design his new office building, he figured Integrity® by Marvin® into his window replacement plans. His firm had designed many commercial buildings, and he understood the importance of quality, durability and value.
Helping the Lightkeeper See the Light.
Treacherous nor’easters, hurricane force winds, along with the corrosive effects of salt water, are just some of what nature would throw at the Cape Forchu Lightstation, year in and year out. So when the lighthouse keeper’s dwelling was about to undergo renovation, Integrity® from Marvin® was chosen for the window replacement.
A Solution of Historic Proportions.
After a fire gutted the iconic Kelly Ramsey Building, the new owner hoped to at least be able to preserve the landmark’s exterior. Key in the rebuilding project was fitting the structure with windows that preserved the charm and tradition of the original building. Marvin® of Canada’s contribution was the supply of 130 historical windows and doors.
A Divine Renovation.
The historic First Church of Christ Scientist in Osborne Village was slated for demolition when GW Architecture Inc. stepped in. Together with the developer, Stonebridge Development Group, a plan was conceived to convert the heritage building at 511 River Avenue into 46 condominiums. Marvin® Windows and Doors were chosen for the project.
Today’s School Assignment: How to Replace 145-Year-Old Windows.
