SLIDING WINDOWS

Sliding windows offer vast unobstructed views, promote ventilation, and are ideal for large horizontal rooms.

WHAT ARE SLIDING WINDOWS?

Sliding windows, sometimes known as gliders, operate similarly to double-hung windows. The main difference is that the sashes move to the right and left rather than up and down. Sliding windows may have one or several operating sashes, or they may be paired with picture windows. Sliding window working sashes can tilt in, swing in, or be removed allowing simple cleaning of both sides of the glass.

Sliding windows offer vast unobstructed views, promote ventilation, and are ideal for large horizontal rooms. Because sliding windows do not extend past the plane of the wall, they are ideal for high traffic areas such as decks, walkways, or areas where a garden or landscaping is close to the home.

MARVIN CANADA’S SLIDING WINDOWS: IDEAL FOR UNOBSTRUCTED VIEWS IN HORIZONTAL ROOMS

1) Ultimate Glider
The Marvin Signature™ Ultimate Glider window offers quality craftsmanship and contemporary styling for a clean, streamlined, and space-saving design where swinging windows will not work or as a bedroom egress option. Marvin’s exclusive automatic locking system has an easy-to-reach hide-away handle that blends in with the sash. With one hand, you can easily unlock and open the window, and automatic locking, when closed, adds convenience and peace of mind. Choose between two or three operational panels across or a combination of functional and stationary panels for varying sizes and operating requirements.

2) Elevate Glider
The Marvin Elevate™ Glider window is designed for simplicity and strength, with operable panels that tilt inward for access from the inside. It is optimized for smooth horizontal movement and easy cleaning. The Elevate Glider window is a great space-saving option when there isn’t enough space for a swinging sash in a casement or awning style. Choose a triple sash configuration with a centre picture window for maximum daylight, and enjoy the best of durability and style with strong fibreglass exteriors and a warm, stainable wood interior.

3) Essential Glider
When a swinging sash is not practical, the Marvin Essential™ Glider window is a space-saving alternative. Each Essential Glider window is designed to move smoothly horizontally, and operable panels tilt inward for easy cleaning from the inside. For low-maintenance durability, choose two or three-panel configurations with a strong fibreglass interior and exterior.

4) Infinity Glider
The Marvin Elevate™ Awning window, a top-hinged alternative to a casement window, is a convenient option for hard-to-reach areas like over a sink or counter or as a way to get fresh air even in light rain. Its low-maintenance fibreglass exterior and warm wood interior combine style and durability, while convenient lever hardware on the window’s sides activates a dual-point locking system.
