HOME AUTOMATION

SENSOR OF MARVIN LOCK STATUS

HOME AUTOMATION

We provide home automation sensors that integrate with popular security systems to maximize home protection. This inexpensive, optional upgrade is installed in the factory and completely concealed, which means no unsightly sensors are attached to the exterior, and no additional product modification once installed. The sensor, which can be wired or wirelessly connected, sends a signal to your integrated smart home security system to indicate whether windows and doors are closed, locked, or unlocked, providing peace of mind when security is a concern.

BENEFITS AND FEATURES

  • Each window and door ordered with the Lock Status Sensor comes with the sensor already installed, eliminating the need for after-market modifications that may void warranties.
  • Concealed design does not compromise the aesthetic and beauty of your home
  • Integrates seamlessly into your existing or new security system via a wired or wireless connection.
  • The open system does not specify which systems the sensor is compatible with, and it allows for future flexibility in changing your security system.
  • Compatible with leading third-party home automation HUBs and service providers such as Honeywell and DSC.

INSTALLATION

We weren’t just thinking about homeowners when Marvin designed the Lock Status Sensor. When designing the installation process, we kept builders, installers, and integrators in mind, making it as straightforward as the solution itself. You don’t have to be concerned about drilling into a new window, voiding the warranty, and having to pay for replacement. We complete all of the preliminary work ahead of time. Unlike other manufacturers, there are no unsightly plastic covers or visible components to detract from the beauty or performance of your Marvin windows or doors.

These systems require no prior knowledge or experience to install. Lock Status Sensor-equipped windows or doors are truly a “Plug and Play” solution.

DEVICES FOR CONTROLLING WINDOW OPENING

The primary purpose of window screens is to keep bugs out, not to prevent a fall. We offer Window Opening Control Devices that limit window opening to 4″ or less when the sash is opened to meet safety standards that assist in preventing window falls in children under the age of five. The device can be deactivated, allowing the window to open for easy cleaning and it will automatically re-engage when the sash is fully closed again.

We encourage you to check with local building codes to ensure that your windows meet the necessary safety standards
